Mission Statement

The primary mission of the Hudson Area Library’s History Room is to acquire, preserve, and make accessible holdings regarding the history and culture of the library’s service area which includes Hudson, Greenport and Stockport. These holdings are maintained, preserved, and protected in a secure, conservation-quality repository that is open to the public by appointment. The secondary mission of the History Room is to acquire, preserve, and make accessible holdings regarding the history and culture of Columbia County.
